Come With Me – Archway Restaurant Michelin Guide 2024

With a menu that changes monthly and a bustling dinner atmosphere, the Italian place Archway Restaurant nestled beneath a railway arch in Battersea is a nice and intimate spot at the same time. Imagine candlelit tables, an open kitchen at the back, and a simple minimalist design. Also, their flatbread is a must!

Archway Restaurant in Battersea, A Michelin Guide Restaurant

I have to say, after earning a spot in the Michelin Guide mere months after its debut, I was really curious and looking forward to getting there soon. Being a foodie living close by, I had high expectations for this place and was hoping it would be a good spot for a date and dinner.

Dive into a Cozy Candlelit Ambiance: Leave the Entrance Behind and Immerse Yourself in Intimate Dining

Upon arrival, the inconspicuous entrance, marked only by a printed sign, may give pause. I had no idea what to expect as I did not research the entrance. But anyway, after getting inside, you will be transported to a nice and cosy place. If candlelit dinners are your thing, I am sure you will love this place. As a first impression: it’s a great place for couples looking to unwind with delicious wine and pasta after a long day at work.

About The Location

Tucked away in a single railway arch in Battersea, the wine bar and restaurant Archway which values people and nature with its seasonal menu is a lovely and interesting spot.

Though the side-door entry is easy to miss, there’s a hidden gem for wine and food lovers alike right under your nose. Therefore, despite the modest and somewhat confusing entrance upon first arrival, the restaurant itself is lovely and instantly makes you feel at home. I appreciate the extremely comfortable setting. Imagine trains rumbling gently overhead, and long white candles flickering nicely. It filled up in quickly, which is a clear sign of its popularity in the area.

Their February 2024 Menu

The interesting part of this place is that they are changing the menu every month, so all the dishes are fresh based on seasonality. This way they are always using the best ingredients available and it also makes it interesting for clients to get back to try new dishes.

Here are our meal choices for the night:

Starters: Flatbread, wild mushrooms, rocket and Mortadella and Ricotta Tortelli, pistachio

Mains: Pan-fried red gurnard livornese & Seasonal Greens and One of their special dishes of the day – lobster pasta

We ended up getting a nice dessert (Ricotta, chocolate and pear cake) and called it a night.

After this dinner, we were particularly impressed with the starters but the entire meal was delicious. If I would go back I would choose the Mortadella and Ricotta Tortelli, pistachio as a main – you can tell I’m a big pasta lover.

Anyway, we can not wait to get back and try more! It was one of the best meals in the neighbourhood and it’s just been listed in the Michelin Guide.
